The City Limits Gazette – Print Works

Once the loudest voice in Redrock Falls, the City Limits Gazette Print Works now leans at a dangerous angle, its broken timbers and sagging roof a reminder of how quickly truth can become inconvenient. The faded signs still promise “News” and bear the proud name of the Gazette, but the presses inside have long since fallen silent.

Years ago, Ezekiel Brand, the paper’s fiery editor, printed one story too many about crooked deals, missing silver and men who preferred their secrets buried. One night the building caught fire, the presses were smashed, and Brand disappeared without a trace. Officially it was an accident. No one in Redrock Falls believes that.

Now the wrecked print works stands as a warning to anyone who thinks too hard about asking the wrong questions — though rumour has it that some of Brand’s records may still be hidden somewhere inside, waiting to bring the town’s dirty laundry into the light.
