{"id":2660,"date":"2013-08-15T20:16:27","date_gmt":"2013-08-15T18:16:27","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/stronghold-terrain.de\/index.php\/blog\/?p=166"},"modified":"2013-08-15T20:16:27","modified_gmt":"2013-08-15T18:16:27","slug":"assembling-the-stone-wall-gate","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/stronghold-terrain.de\/en\/assembling-the-stone-wall-gate\/","title":{"rendered":"Assembling the &#8220;Stone Wall Gate&#8221;"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"http:\/\/stronghold-terrain.de\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/Stone-Walls-Gate-Tutorial.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-214\" alt=\"Stone-Walls-Gate-Tutorial\" src=\"http:\/\/stronghold-terrain.de\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/Stone-Walls-Gate-Tutorial-625x478.jpg\" width=\"625\" height=\"478\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>I thought it would be a good idea to add a small tutorial to assemble the Gate because it is a little bit tricky when you see all the loose components.<\/p>\n<p>You&#8217;ll need:<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; clippers<br \/>\n&#8211; file<br \/>\n&#8211; Super Glue<br \/>\n&#8211; 10 minutes of time<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Step 1 and 2<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/stronghold-terrain.de\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/Stone-Walls-Gate-Tutorial-1.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-215\" alt=\"Stone-Walls-Gate-Tutorial-1\" src=\"http:\/\/stronghold-terrain.de\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/Stone-Walls-Gate-Tutorial-1-625x478.jpg\" width=\"625\" height=\"478\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/stronghold-terrain.de\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/Stone-Walls-Gate-Tutorial-2.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-216\" alt=\"Stone-Walls-Gate-Tutorial-2\" src=\"http:\/\/stronghold-terrain.de\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/Stone-Walls-Gate-Tutorial-2-625x478.jpg\" width=\"625\" height=\"478\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>In a first step use clippers to cut the plastic fence section into 2 pieces.<\/p>\n<p>When you need a narrower gate cut shorter pieces.<\/p>\n<p>After that I sanded the gate at the clipped areas using a small file.<\/p>\n<p>Now comes a very important step. Take the small metal hulls, insert the paper clip and cut off the &#8220;head&#8221; thickening. It is important to cut while the wire is inside the hull to prevent it from being compressed.<\/p>\n<p>The second important thing is that both hulls for the upper side of the Gate should be about 1 mm shorter than the others. Otherwise your Gate will sag because the wire angles have some play in the hulls.<\/p>\n<p>Put the 4 shortened hulls onto the Gate endings. Make sure to shorten the Gate endings to about a third of length of the hulls and take some Super Glue to fix them to the Gates.<\/p>\n<p>Now the most difficult part is managed *puuuh!*<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Step 3<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/stronghold-terrain.de\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/Stone-Walls-Gate-Tutorial-3.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-217\" alt=\"Stone-Walls-Gate-Tutorial-3\" src=\"http:\/\/stronghold-terrain.de\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/Stone-Walls-Gate-Tutorial-3-625x478.jpg\" width=\"625\" height=\"478\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Bend the wire into 4 angles and cut them into the right length by checking the hulls.<\/p>\n<p>It is important that they fit completely into the Gate hulls.<\/p>\n<p>Glue them to the Gate hulls.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Step 4<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/stronghold-terrain.de\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/Stone-Walls-Gate-Tutorial-4.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Glue 4 hulls to the posts and let them dry completely.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Finished<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Now you can assemble the Gates to the posts and
