This year we want to hold another Heerschau.

What is the army show about? The aim is to set up an army building project for SAGA or Muskets & Tomahawks together with you over the next six months. Anyone can take part and the aim is to complete a new army within 6 months. The army show ends on July 31, 2024.

We think the beginning of the year is a great time for this: New Year – New Army.

You are not limited to a specific army or game system.

• It’s more about advancing projects, reducing the mountain of shame and getting something ready to play.
• So you can paint a unit of Hearthguard for your Pagan Peoples in one month, finish a unit of Highlanders for your Napoleonic Britains the following month and paint 12 archers for your Normans in the third month.
• On the other hand, I always find it very satisfying to complete a new army over a few months (if there is such a thing).
• The choice is yours!

The monthly task is to complete one unit per month.

• So you are free to do whatever you want with your personal project.
• Nevertheless, one sub-project must be completed per calendar month:
  • SAGA: 1 point plus one warlord if applicable
  • Muskets & Tomahawks: 1 playable unit plus possibly an officer

Everyone who wants to take part will have one calendar month to complete the project.

• We also know that something can always come up.
• You have the opportunity to submit a monthly task that you have not completed in the following month if you run out of time.
• In addition to the regular monthly task, of course.

In addition to completing your hobby project, there is also an additional motivational incentive.

• Every one of you who manages to complete all 6 monthly tasks will receive a 20% voucher code in July, which can be used for a purchase at Stronghold Terrain (excluding products that have already been reduced). If you join later, you can make up for missed monthly tasks by arrangement. The voucher is valid until the end of October 2024.

What do you have to do?

•  We need exactly TWO PICTURES from each participant every month and please send them together if possible.
  • ONE PICTURE of the miniatures in unfinished condition.
  • ONE PICTURE of the finished miniatures.
• Please send the pictures either:
  • Via Facebook Messenger to: King Christian (NOT to Mirco Wenning or Stronghold Terrain). Christian is supporting us this year. A big thank you for that.
  • By e-mail with the subject: Heerschau 2022 to:
    • If possible, the images should not be larger than 500Kb. Each of you probably has access to a simple graphics editing program (crop the image and reduce the image size to a maximum of 1280 x 1024 pixels).
    • Please name the pictures with the name you want to use and the date (e.g. Karl Dosenkohl March 2022)

Please stick to this. During the last Heerschau, I spent hours searching for pictures on various channels.

So, now the brush is sharpened, miniatures prepared and off we go.

I want to use this year’s Heerschau to make progress on several fronts.
